Who I am
This site is run by Peter Mazur, an independent photographer and filmmaker based in Tokyo, Japan. I'm responsible for the personal information you share here. Questions or requests: peter.mazmedia@gmail.com.
What I collect
- Contact form: your name, email address and message.
- Booking requests: your name, email, the session, date and time you choose, and anything you add in the notes.
- Messages: what you send me by email or Instagram.
- Payments: the amount and date paid. Card or account details are handled by the payment provider. I never see or store them.
- Photos of you taken during a tour.
- Site visits: anonymous, cookie-free statistics such as page views and the country of visit. These can't identify you.
How I use it
- To reply to you, and to arrange, confirm and run your tour.
- To take payments and keep the records Japanese law requires.
- To deliver your photos through a private online gallery.
- To understand which pages are useful and improve the site.
I don't sell your information or use it for advertising. I only share photos of you publicly (for example in my portfolio or on Instagram) if you say yes, and you can change your mind at any time.
Services I use
Some of these services store data outside Japan, including in the United States and the European Union. Each one protects it under its own privacy policy.
- Framer: hosts this website, receives contact form messages and provides the cookie-free visit statistics.
- Cal.com: runs the booking calendar and sends booking emails.
- Google: email and calendar, and the fonts on this site. To deliver the fonts, your browser connects to Google's servers, which see your IP address.
- Payment provider: processes deposits and payments. You'll see which one in your confirmation email.
- Photo gallery service: stores and delivers your edited photos.
How long I keep it
I keep your information only as long as I need it for the purposes above, or as long as the law requires (for example, Japanese tax rules on business records). Your photos stay in your gallery so you can download them, and I keep backups for a limited time in case you need them sent again.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information I hold about you, or to have it corrected, deleted or no longer used. If you're in the EU or UK you also have rights under the GDPR, including to object to how your information is used and to complain to your local data protection authority. In Japan you can contact the Personal Information Protection Commission. To make a request, email peter.mazmedia@gmail.com. I'll reply as soon as I can, and within 30 days.
Children
Bookings for anyone under 18 need to be made by a parent or guardian.
Changes
If this policy changes, I'll update it here and change the date at the top.
